About Hanami

Bringing warmth to quiet interiors

Hanami was founded by Fleur, an interior designer with a love of calm interiors, natural materials and objects made with care. She believes that a calm interior does not have to feel flat, and that the right fabrics can add warmth and character without disturbing the balance.

This idea forms the foundation of Hanami. Each fabric is chosen with attention to colour, texture and proportion, so that the cushions complement an interior without becoming too dominant.

Our approach

We believe a calm interior does not need more, but rather better-chosen details. By combining understated base fabrics with richer textures and carefully placed patterns, we create cushions that add depth without overwhelming the space. Each cushion is considered both individually and as part of a larger combination, with colour, texture and proportion always kept in balance.

Our studio

Made with care, from start to finish.

Every Hanami cushion is made in our studio in the Netherlands. We deliberately work on a small scale, allowing us to give each cushion the attention that carefully selected fabrics deserve.

Because every cushion passes through our own hands, we check the shape, seams and finishing before it is carefully packed and shipped.

What matters to us

An interior stylist wearing a black top stands at a wooden table in a bright, neutral room, arranging fabric or paper materials. A large framed abstract print hangs on the wall, and cushions rest on a bench in the background.

Fewer, more considered choices

We do not want to offer an endless collection. Instead, we deliberately choose a limited selection of fabrics and cushions, each adding something in its own way.

A collection with continuity

New designs are added carefully, with attention to how they relate to the pieces already in the collection. This allows the collection to evolve without losing its sense of cohesion.

Defined by the fabric

For us, quality begins with the fabric itself. The depth of colour, the structure of the weave and the quality of its finish remain visible in the completed cushion. These details give each piece its character and are central to the way we build the Hanami collection.
